THE SHELBURNE DAYBED CHAIR: ANTIQUE GOLDEN TAN

British Prime Minister 1782-1783

Our Victorian influenced Shelburne has become one of our most iconic and popular pieces.

The 2nd Earl of Shelburne, William Petty-Fitzmaurice, didn’t spend a great amount of time in office – just eight months to be precise. A coalition Government formed and the Opposition soon oversaw Shelburne’s resignation, however his tenure wasn’t without recognition. Shelburne was a large contributor in bringing an end to the American War of Independence. His part in the ‘Peace of Paris’, alongside French under-secretary of state Joseph Matthais Gérard de Rayneval, proved to be his major achievement whilst in power.

Named after Shelburne, our beautifully crafted chair offers a soothing sanctuary to embrace that very peace.

This piece has been crafted as a Shelburne daybed chair, extending the seat to make this a truly comfortable chair. Finished in our antique golden tan Hand dyed leather with contrasting pleats making this a real eye catcher!

It’s everything you need in a chair, comfortable, snazzy and personal.
