The Shelburne Armchair – Zebra Print Leather

British Prime Minister 1782-1783

Our Victorian influenced Shelburne has become one of our most iconic and popular pieces.

The 2nd Earl of Shelburne, William Petty-Fitzmaurice, didn’t spend a great amount of time in office – just eight months to be precise. A coalition Government formed and the Opposition soon oversaw Shelburne’s resignation, however his tenure wasn’t without recognition. Shelburne was a large contributor in bringing an end to the American War of Independance. His part in the ‘Peace of Paris’, alongside French under-secretary of state Joseph Matthais Gérard de Rayneval, proved to be his major achievement whilst in power.

Named after Shelburne, our beautifully crafted chair offers a soothing sanctuary to embrace that very peace.

The pretruding seat almost pleads to be sat in and offers great character to this courteous, gentleman’s piece. This particular example has been covered in a snazzy zebra print leather which is just supremely cool! The chrome studs and turned legs bring this beast of a chair back to life, oozing charisma and charm into the client’s abode.

This is a fantastic example of a creative, interesting and be-spoke piece that we have crafted for our previous clients. It doesn’t have to be zebra print leather, you tell us what you would like!
